근미래, 인간의 사이보그화가 대중화된 세계에서 바이오 파이트 데이가 개최된다.

어렸을 적부터 애니메이션을 좋아해 여러 애니메이션 페스티벌과 행사에 자주 참석했습니다. 직접 애니메이션을 제작하고 싶었지만, 그림과 애니메이션 제작 기술이 부족해 머릿속에서만 상상하는 데 그쳤습니다.
그러나 AI의 발전 덕분에 이제는 상상 속 장면을 현실로 구현할 수 있게 되었습니다. 음성과 노래, 심지어 음향 효과까지 AI로 생성할 수 있게 되었고, 이번 기회를 통해 AI의 도움을 받아 영상과 음향을 모두 제작해 보았습니다. 다양한 AI 도구를 조합하여 1분 가량의 AI 애니메이션을 완성하게 되었습니다.

물론, 이 과정에서 편집과 후보정은 제가 직접 하였지만, 상상 속 장면을 표현한 원본 소스(영상/음향)는 모두 AI가 생성하여 제작하였습니다.

Midjourney에서 프롬프트를 입력하여 생성한 결과, 대다수의 인물들이 흑인이나 백인으로 나타났습니다. 이를 개선하기 위해 인페인팅 기능을 활용하여 특정 부분을 수정하고, 동양인 프롬프트를 추가하여 인종의 다양성을 표현하고자 했습니다.
또한, 뤼튼에서 프롬프트를 발전시켜 Midjourney에서 이미지를 생성했을 때는 역동적인 이미지가 나오지 않아 '역동적인'이라는 프롬프트를 추가하고, 반복적인 생성을 통해 원하는 이미지를 제작했습니다.
Hailuo AI는 한 번 생성할 때 두 개의 영상을 생성하는데, 하나는 프롬프트를 입력하지 않고, 다른 하나는 입력하여 더 자연스러운 영상을 선택했습니다. 영상의 퀄리티는 랜덤으로 결정되었고, 프롬프트를 입력해도 이상한 결과가 나올 때가 있었으며, 프롬프트를 넣지 않았을 때 좋은 결과가 나오기도 했습니다. 이 과정에서 수많은 생성을 반복하여 원하는 영상을 얻을 수 있었습니다.

생산성 향상 정도를 %로 나타낸다면 100%라고 볼 수 있습니다. 애초에 저는 그림과 애니메이션 제작 기술에 대한 지식이 없었기에 전문적인 교육이나 연습이 없다면 애니메이션이라는 장르는 쉽게 시도할 수 없었습니다.

하지만 AI 덕분에 그 한계를 극복할 수 있었고, 이렇게 짧지만 퀄리티 높은 애니메이션을 제작할 수 있게 되었습니다. 이전에는 노래나 음향 효과를 제작하기 위해 1인 창작자의 예산과 시간이 부족해 외주를 맡기는 경우가 많았으나, 이번에는 모든 작업을 AI로 진행하여 실시간으로 음향 효과와 노래를 만들어 장면에 맞는 소스를 제작할 수 있었습니다. 특히, 실시간으로 제작할 수 있다는 점이 생산성 향상에 가장 큰 영향을 미쳤다고 생각합니다.

원래는 의뢰인과 제작자가 서로 만나서 이야기를 나누고 작업을 진행하며 피드백을 받아 수정하는 데 오랜 시간이 걸렸을 텐데, 이제는 실시간으로 생성하고 수정할 수 있어 금전적 및 시간적으로 더욱 효율적이었습니다.
